After spending the past 2 weeks in the port of Escondido it is wonderful to be back to a normal life. Faire this time was fun but not very eventful. We had plans for the queen and she never came. Oh well, we will get a visit at one of the future faires. We had planned to do a new song and present her with a hand made present. It meant we could have our own fun without commitments. I bought myself a new hat this faire because my old one was falling apart. I plan to buy a new item each faire for the hat.
This faire was the very first faire that my son dressed all 4 days. I was so proud to see him leading all the teens. He is proving to be a good pirate now that he is 18. I am so proud of him for where he is headed in life. He proved to everyone that he does want to have fun with the group. He did have some late nights but it was all fun.
Thanks to the crew for making this faire a great one. The trial of Spongebob was the best!
Now I look forward to Vista Pirate Faire in December.
3 Week Countdown till Captain Syn and I renew our wedding vows. We have been married for 25 years September 10th. We felt it would be a good way to celebrate and we will be doin' it as Pirates. I am looking back and we have had a good first 25. Captain Syn is a good man. I am very lucky he came along when he did. Planning is the hard part but it will be a fun day for all.
What fun we had Friday May 2nd in Anaheim working the Pirates for CHOC evernt. We were roving entertainment. The day started with the crew meeting at our house to head up to my mother's home to get ready. She lived so close that it worked for us to get ready there. When we got over the event some of us decided we had better eat which was good thing. The restaurant fed us for free. We gave a nice tip to our waitress. She was so good. Throughout the night she gave us free drinks which was nice. The event was lightly attended by outsiders but there were lots of pirates roving around. Several Jack Sparrows were about but Evan (the events coordinator) is still the number one Jack in my book. When it came time to leave I spoke to Evan about helping actually with the coordination of the event for next year. I told him with my ability to market we could really make this event alot bigger. He agreed and we plan to work together for next year. He puts this on practically by himself. The highlight of my night was standing and talking to Lee Arenburg (Pintel) about his little boy. Also talking to Marty about the fact that I was the Klingon who had her picture with him at Comic Con. He was shocked that I did both. We headed back to San Diego all tired but it was worth it. I hope to see more people at next years event.
It was a grand night in the town of Long Beach last night. The captain, Oderless, Rude Willie, Moevil, Reeking Jake Betty Bones, Bully and Rogue Romeo plus Reeking Jakes girls had the opportunity to attend the Pirate Party for Pyrate Con 2008. It was slightly cold but the atmosphere kept us warm. I had fun chasing the Captain keeping him from marrying any of the many woman. Betty Bones didn't help, she kept leading him off. By the end of the night we were all jazzed up about going. The captain and I are looking at the our finances and researching the travel arrangements to see if we can attend. Thanks for all the good times last night to all that were there.
Just so you know, I am the one on the right. The person next to me is my partner in crime Bully. I am Moraga Doone the Captain of the Stranglehold's woman. I am always getting in trouble for stealing the captains gold and spending it. I am looking to connect with some of ren faire buddies.
